Friends of STTRPG and Link Exchange Standards
With the internet being what it is, and that being a behemoth repository of information, it can be hard to get one’s material popularized. No one knows this better than me, a person who has been trying to draw traffic to this website for 6 months and at the time of this writing has ~130 unique hits. In order to alleviate this problem in a mutual and legal way, I propose a free exchange of links with anyone who wishes it who visits my site, with a few exceptions.
–Foremost, if I link to your page from my page, I expect to have the favor returned. You can find the HTML code for a text link and a banner link at the bottom of the page. Also, please notify me of your intention to link to me, so I can abide by this policy as well. This is my e-mail. I check it regularly.
–Due to the nature of the material on this site and the tendency of games to be picked up by children, I will NOT link to any adult web sites. This is not due to my ideological concerns, I just wish to keep my content parent friendly and the proverbial blood off my hands. I mean, they can find it anyway, come on!
–I refuse to link to any site that promotes active racially, religiously, or sexually bigoted content. I also will take action to have any association of my online identity removed from such sites. This means no links to or from bigoted web sites.
–If I am informed of any illegal or unethical practices for web site popularization, such as spamming, I will investigate and, if necessary, remove links from my pages of the web sites involved. This is just to cover my own ass, people. I’m ad-supported, remember?
–I will not link to a libelous or slanderous defamatory web site directed at a single person or group, regardless of the person’s deeds or the group’s practices. Any false defamatory information will be grounds for removal of the link if the content is not removed promptly.
–All media other than that mentioned here that meets with U.S. legal standards shall be absolutely allowed.
